Application of SpatiX Xstar service in areas without communication networks

SpatiX |

Powered by PPP technology and proven in large-scale commercial applications, Xstar delivers 24/7 real-time centimeter-level positioning-even in deserts, oceans, mountains, and beyond. With dual delivery via L-band satellites and internet, it bridges the gap where traditional solutions fall short.

According to relevant statistics, more than 60% of China's land area still has no communication network coverage. In these regions, SpatiX Xstar Service plays an indispensable role, serving every corner of the construction of a digital China.

Xstar service in the Gobi

In July 2022, measurement work was carried out in the 24,100 square kilometers of forest, grassland and wetland in the Gansu Qilian Mountain National Nature Reserve. In the vast uninhabited area, with the help of SpatiX RTK Receiver, the staff obtained the coordinates of the measurement center point with centimeter-level accuracy within 2 minutes, thus carrying out survey operations and providing data support for the protection and restoration of the ecosystem. In the past, staff used GPS handheld devices for operations, which had slow satellite search speed and poor positioning accuracy, but now the operation efficiency has been greatly improved.

Xstar service in the desert

In June 2022, the world's first desert railway - the Xinjiang Hotan-Ruoqiang Railway - was put into operation. This 825-kilometer-long railway has about three-quarters of its sections passing through deserts and Gobi. During the acceptance phase, the builders used SpatiX Xstar Service to efficiently collect precise location information of key equipment such as the main railway line, station yard tracks, and trackside equipment, providing data support for the safe operation and maintenance of the railway.

Xstar service in the ocean

In June 2022, the installation work of an offshore wind power station was in progress in the sea area near Pingtan, Fujian. After the construction ship was equipped with SpatiX RTK Receiver, it obtained centimeter level positioning (real-time) through SpatiX Xstar Service, providing accurate coordinate information for the piling work in the installation of the power station. Now, construction ships no longer "lose their way" when operating at sea.

Xstar service in remote mountainous areas

In Fujian, 1,764 kilometers of transmission lines are located in remote mountainous areas without network signals. UAV inspections can only be carried out in manual flight mode, which is inefficient and high-risk. With the application of SpatiX Xstar Service, UAVs can obtain centimeter level positioning (real-time) within 5 minutes, realizing autonomous flight, thus getting rid of dependence on 4G/5G networks, significantly expanding the airworthy sections, and safeguarding the transmission "lifeline".

Xstar service in border areas

In the farmlands of Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang, SpatiX Xstar Service has been widely used in spring plowing and autumn harvest. In Heihe, Heilongjiang, which is close to the Sino-Russian border, the communication network is unstable. SpatiX QYX Pro ,an automated Steering System have freed local farmers from relying on the communication network. "Once the equipment connects to SpatiX Xstar Service, it can continue automatic driving operations. With higher straight-line accuracy, the land utilization rate increases, and our production efficiency improves," said local farmer Master Zhao.
